Finding a Toy Train Event

TCA members have access to a variety of train meets and other activities. Information about these is made available regularly.

Division meet.

Division and Chapter Train Meets
are held regularly around the country. They range in size and frequency, and represent a wonderful way to compare notes, buy and sell trains, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow hobby members.

For information on local meets around the country, go here. Non-members may make contact to learn about how to join or attend these meetings to get a feel for the hobby.

Quarterly listings of meets are also included in the National Headquarters News. Divisions are requested to submit schedules to the National Business Office in a timely fashion for inclusion. In addition, the websites of the respective TCA divisions provide details on such activities.


National Convention

METCA.Each year a different division hosts the National Convention, held in June. A special web site,, is dedicated to providing extensive details and online registration for the year's convention.

Special Events

TCA periodically conducts special events which are summarized on the Museum site.

In the past, these have included cruises and special bus trips; none are currently scheduled. Activities and events are subject to change.


Open House

Open House.A popular event at the National Toy Train Museum is the free Open House held the Wednesday before each York meet. Information is available here.

Here, members and the public may view the exhibits, visit the National Toy Train Library, and hear presentations by major toy train manufacturers. The presentations are taped for inclusion in TCA Netvision.
